True citizens of the world always strive to govern themselves with morality and innate fellow-feeling.

Jewish Forum of Ukraine invites all to a gala concert of  ХІІІ All-Ukrainian Festival of Jewish Art «SHALOM, UKRAINE!» with the participation of the National Academic orchestra of folk instruments of Ukraine on August 30, 2009 at 17.00 h, in the Kyiv municipal academic theatre of opera and ballet for children and youth (2, Mezhyhirska street, near metro station «Kontraktova Ploshcha»).  The event is organized with support from the Ministry of Culture and Art of Ukraine, Jewish Forum of Ukraine and is sponsored by the American Jewish Distribution Committee «Joint», Elko, Privatbank. Students from different countries will help refurbish the Jewish cemetry in Chernivsti Print E-mail

For two weeks students from various countries of Europe and all parts of Ukraine will help clean and refurbish the Jewish cemetery located on the Zelena Street in Chernivtsi. These students are volunteers of the project of a German NGO, «An Act of Redemption – To Serve Peace». Chernivtsi has 70 nationalities inhabiting the city, among them are Jews, Romanians, Moldovans, Russians, Georgians, Armenians, Poles, Germans and other nationalities. International Children's Camp "Source of Tolerance" Print E-mail

On August 9, 2009, more than 190 children between 9-17 years of age from 17 nationalities of Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova took part in the opening of the International Children's Camp "Source of Tolerance" in the Carpathian town Yasinya near the peak Hoverla, in the premises of the resthouse "Vysokiy Karpaty". International Remembrance Day of Roma Victims of the Pharraimos (Holocaust) Print E-mail
This year August 2 will be the International Remembrance Day of Roma Victims of the Pharraimos (Holocaust) as adopted at the European Roma and Travelers Forum in the Council of Europe. On this day in 1944, more than 3000 Roma und Sinti in Auschwitz-Birkenau were gassed. On August 2, at 12:00 h go for 5 minutes to the streets, everywhere in Europe, to be seen, to pray for the murdered, to lit a candle on the street.  BE VISIBLE!
