Responding to an increase in the number of suspected racially motivated attacks in Ukraine beginning in December 2006, International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Amnesty International (AI) and other concerned civil society organizations formed the Diversity Initiative network in April 2007 to begin addressing the issue in a coordinated way.


CAMP "BUILDING BRIDGES, NOT WALLS" for children ages 13-17 will be held October 27 - November 3, 2014 in the resort "Sun Valley" p. Bojan, Chernivtsi region (info at camp and competition terms in English Language) Settlement of children 3-4 bed beautiful rooms with all amenities, 4 meals. The mission of the project is to promote the integration of young IDPs, creating opportunities for dialogue and collaborative learning and action in conflict resolution for teens Ukraine. During the camp, children will be in 6 groups of 15 children in the group will participate in group sessions on important topics for teens. Also, every day is an opportunity to choose a master class in theater for dialogue, dance, art, food, music, psychology, sport, creating blogs, video and installation, film, intellectual games, literature, creating stencils and posters. Children who participate in the course of mediation will receive an additional certificate. Every night will be interesting events: "Living Library" forum theater, culture festival, "What? Where? When? "Music festival, talk shows. Teens will participate in the quest for intercultural Chernivtsi. Camp participants will gain knowledge about successful communication, a peaceful resolution of conflicts, their own resources to deal with problems, open a new talent. Teens develop skills: communication, ability to recover from a stressful situation, critical thinking, media literacy, public speaking skills and artistic ability. The camp has qualified teachers and psychologists trained in specialized seminars on intercultural education, theater for dialogue and mediation.
