New E-card collection of visionaries of the 20th century

The Diversity Initiative partner NGO East European Development Institute and Gudimov Art Centre with funding from the Swiss Confederation Project Ukraine Office, have created an animated ‘e-card’ collection detailing the lives of twelve outstanding individuals, who made morality a defining component in their struggle to change the politics and art of the 20th century. Their legacy will serve as a moral lighthouse guiding future generations to come. The e-card collection is intended to remember these visionaries throughout the year by celebrating their birthdays. These e-cards can be sent to anyone via e-mail.

The e-cards present Vaclav Havel, Mother Teresa, John Lennon, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Joseph Korczak, Paul Rusesabagina, Nelson Mandela, Carl Lutz, Raol Wallenberg, Chiune Sugihara and Aung San Suu Kyi. Although they come from different countries and cultures, they are all powerful symbols of how one person following their principles can affect real change and inspire others to do the same.

The purpose of this collection is to celebrate the powerful impact that these individuals still have on our way of thinking and the global society of today. The stand they took, the music they wrote, and the ideals they expressed, have created a world in which cultural diversity has the potential to flourish.
